On the day of shooting, 30th October, Raman, Pamela and I all met at my house, one of the places of shooting, and got ready for the second half of Prides scenes. This is where the killer would attack Pride and talk to her about what he had done wrong before something gruesome happens.
Below is an image of us first setting up the camera and lighting of the scene. Pamela was also getting dressed into her costume at this time.
The location that we decided upon was my dining room/ living room area where there is a drinks cabinet and a mirror. With tones of creams and browns, the location looks sophisticated and professional- such as what Raman and I wanted to portray of the character Pride.
The first few shots consisted of Pamela walking through the door, putting her bag on a table and going to pour herself a drink from the drinks cabinet. This took a few re-takes to get the panning camera movement of the shot correct.
The next shot was of Pam pouring herself the drink and the demon priest shown to be behind her suddenly in a blink of an eye- this adds to the supernatural aspect of the trailer and film.
The final shot in the dining room/living room location was of Pride struggling on the floor looking all bruised and battered with blood coming out of her nose asking "what can I do to make this right?". On the left you can see me applying the special effects to Pam's face. This shot went well and only a few shots, two of mid shot framing and one of long shot framing, were recorded. This variation was to give Raman and I options of footage when editing the trailer.
Finally, the last shot that we needed Pride to be in was the initial urban scene where she is "seen" by the demon priest to be walking past him, portraying the elements of Pride in her body language and attire. This shot was harder to shoot than I thought it would be as people kept walking past the camera as we were trying to record. The portrayal of Pride was also quite week in the footage, a shot of Pam simply walking across Bexleyheath square was shown. This may look fine in the trailer, but a possible re-shoot may need to be done for just the urban scene for Pride.
