Greenwich Foot Tunnel
GFT is 370 metres long and 15 metres deep and would be a good place for Sloth to reside in that when the demon captures her, his footsteps will echo and this will, therefore, make the scene more chilling in the trailer - further accentuating the horror conventions of echoing footsteps in the darkness. Also, there are puddles on the floor and stains along the walls, and we could add a water droplet sound right before Sloth sees the demon as this sound effect is a typical convention in horror films.
Christ Church Greyfriar
This demolished church is still standing as a WWII tribute, and the sloth could be staying here because it is an old church and this could link to our storyline of sinning. However, the audience may not know this used to be a church, so perhaps if we were to film here, right before the demon kills Sloth, I could add in a Christian cross that flashes up so the audience know this film is about religion. Filming here may be difficult in terms of lighting as this Church is open and so we would have to film at night and need very low-key lighting to set the scene - and the camera may not pick it up.
UCL Middlesex Hospital (Cleveland St)
This is a derelict hospital and has many unkempt rooms with hospital equipment and notes still lying around. This would be a good place for Sloth to reside as it will immediately denote to the audience how Sloth is squatting in an abandoned building, and has not even bothered to tidy a little. However, we cannot film here as it is now being demolished, but there is a lot of inspiration we can take from the images. We could also put paper, dirt and broken equipment in the sloth's room however, this scene will only be around 3 seconds long - a close up of when she wakes up, sees the demon, then the screen goes black.Burgoynes Building
This is a derelict chemical works factory in East London. There are many rooms; the paint on the walls is peeling off, there are doors, bars and other things scattering the building. It is very spacious and we would not have to add much more as it already looks very abandoned - we could use a room in this building to situate Sloth.Erith Old Library
This is a very open and spacious library, however, it has only recently been closed down, therefore it still looks quite tidy.
