- Yellow and white titles are clear and legible against the dark backdrop.
- The titles are at the to ends of the poster, making the picture the main focus.
- Production companies and movie titles make the poster look professional.
- The car is red which connotes danger, it is relatively small when compared with the size of actor and entire poster, hinting to audience that the car is not what the film will be centred on.
- In an urban area because of the broken glass and dirt on the floor, the grubby bridge with electrical mains exposed.
- Character is wearing dark clothing; leather jacket, shirt untucked, black jeans which represents him as being an 'ordinary guy' so the audience are able to relate to him - persuading them to watch it.
- He is holding a camera and this paired with the slogan and film name hints to the audience that he works with his camera at night, but we don't know what he takes on the camera.
- Just one character on the poster and his name - tells the audience he is the central character and he is effectively the 'Nightcrawler'. Also, putting a recognisible actor on the poster, that will appeal to his fans to watch the film.
- Producer reference persuades the audience to watch the film as Michael Clayton was highly accredited, thus making Nightcrawler seem worthwhile and entertaining.
- The red car makes the film seem it is about car racing. Paired with the urban area and night sky, this is similar to many car racing films and games so it is misleading.
- The top half of the poster is mainly blank with just the title, that wasted space makes the audience pay less attention to mise en scene such as the camera and broken glass.
- The camera could have been placed somewhere better as it is hard to make out that it is a camera.
- In the film he is a journalist so news paper articles could have been littered on the floor to connote his profession.
Annie and I will be modelling our film poster on Nightcrawler, however we will be changing some areas as we do not have just one main character like this film.
