Film Name Survey

Annie and I came up with some suggestions and narrowed them down to just 5 as any more would overwhelm the respondents. The 5 we included were:

• Mother Mary
• Hail Mary
• Subsequent of Sin
• S7NS
• The Deserving

I wrote a quick summary of the film so the respondents could make a more informed decision.

We asked a range of people of all ages and genre preferences. The results from the questionnaire:

All the bars are close which means there was no shared favourite; all the respondents had their own favourite film name. Hail Mary and The Deserving were tied and were the two most voted options, and S7NS and Subsequent of Sin were second and were also tied. Mother Mary was the least preferred so we will not name our film Mother Mary.

We also included a comment box so the respondents could give us their own suggestions, and received suggestions such as The Cleansing which Annie and I considered, Sinners, and one respondent suggested Subsequent of Sin which could then be shortened to SOS. Annie and I liked the suggestion very much and, even though Hail Mary and The Deserving were the top voted, we have decided to call our film Subsequent of Sin so it can be shortened to SOS as that means Save Our Souls which fits in well with our storyline.
