Film Name Ideas

Now that we have almost finished filming and we just need to edit our footage, we need to decide on a name for our film. Together, we both discussed ideas and have put them in a list below, indicating why we have chosen the names:

• Mother Mary - links to the religious morality storyline and Mother Mary is a prominent and moral figure within Christianity, and this juxtaposes the sinners who are committing the 7 deadly sins. 

• Hail Mary - the priest praises Mary and believes that all women should praise her too, and aspire to be like her. The idea is that the demon priest wants to kill the sinners for not embodying the qualities of Mary and are therefore unfit to live and must go to hell.

• Devil's Mercy - the priest (aka the devil) is killing these women mercilessly, he only sees them as sinners and that they should solely be killed because of that.

• Sins - with the tittle on 'sin' being a 7. This is similar to 'Se7en' - the audience will be able to see the 7 and will immediately know this film is about the seven sins.

• S7NS - incorporating the 7 into the word, like Se7en.

• Seven Sins - a clearer version of the two titles above. This is a more obvious title for the film we are making.

• Devils Mission- the demonic priest, again, is killing these women mercilessly as it is his mission to collect the seven deadly sins embodied in humans to return to Hell.

• Fated - as a result of the way that they live their lives, the sinners in the film were 'fated' for punishment for their sins.

• The Deserving - again, as a result of the way that the characters live their lives, they are deserving of being tormented and destroyed by this demonic priest who ultimately punishes them for their sins.

• Subsequent of Sin - This title is again, rather obvious for our film trailer. It literally means as a result of sin, indicating that the film portrays the effects as a result of sin where the demonic priest comes and torments the characters.

From these ideas, we will be doing a survey online to see the most popular name for our trailer. The results will give us an idea of what to choose for the name and then we will make the final decision.

As we have ten options to choose from, we want to cut it down to just a few for people to choose from in the questionairre. The following are the names that will be in the questionnaire:
