To make the movie titles that are usually shown at the end of trailers or at the bottom of a film poster, I downloaded a font called Movie Letters from dafont.com, making this available in Photoshop. I typed out the titles e.g. line producer, director, animator and so on. I made the size of the title 100, and the names 170. I was unable to make the names bold as that function was not available. I did not stack the titles which is what is usually done for film posters, especially, because I looked at trailers such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Blood Ties and Interstellar and the titles were all written and spread out horizontally.
I inserted the titles into the animation; on the last layer. They will flash up for less than a second which is the convention for trailers and the audience are not usually interested in reading this title.Additionally, I showed the animation to some people and was told that the SOS which appears alongside COMING SOON was not in the centre and this did not look professional. So Annie suggested that I make the SOS move and flicker around the screen before setting in the middle, directing above COMING SOON to conform to the supernatural convention of objects moving and distorting.
I added three layers, one which moved the SOS (with the 7 in the O) to the left, then the second which I put the SOS and the top of the canvas. The third layer had the SOS positioned directly above COMING SOON so it looked more professional.
I added the 7 into the O to denote to the audience that this film is about the seven sins. I did this in the same way I made all the previous titles - added a text layer, made the 7 small enough to fit in the O, added a red glow. I made the colour of the 7 and the glow a slightly darker red and the bright red used for SOS and this was so that the 7 does not take away too much attention from the film title, but is rather an asset.
