I chose some Vogue magazines to decide which one Envy will be reading in the urban preaching scene. I like this one as the model is smiling and this will juxtapose Envy's jealous emotions. This model is very skinny which is a stereotypical thing that females get envious about. If we choose to use this in the scene then it will be made very obvious to the audience that Envy is jealous of this model which will be beneficial for the audience's understanding of the trailer's plot.
This cover features popular singer Lana Del Rey which the audience will be familiar with - therefore, if Envy shows jealously towards this picture then, again, the audience will be able to identify her sin easily.
This cover is colour and simple, however the model does not look happy like in the first cover. It may still be obvious to the audience that the sin is envy, however I feel that this cover is not as good as the others in terms of mise en scene.
This cover features the supermodel Kate Moss which, like Lana Del Rey, the audience will be able to recognise. The cover is mainly light pink and green so it is not as eye catching as the cover with the skinny catwalk model. Also, she looks quite moody in this cover and this will clash with Envy's expression so it will not provide good mise en scene.
Helena Bonham Carter is on the cover here and she looks quite mischievous, and the red and black colour scheme connotes darkness and anger like the sin of envy. This magazine cover will also be a good one to use as it juxtaposes Envy's feelings.
Overall, I believe that the first cover with the smiling model, the second with the skinny catwalk model and the last cover with Carter are the best ones in terms of fitting in with sin of Envy. The second one is very bright and colourful which will juxtapose Envy's darkness, however the first one includes a very happy model which will immediately juxtapose Envy's expression - so the first magazine is the one Envy will be looking at.
